Dullish day doing bugs...Then the company barbecue after. Free bar, vodka sleuch (if that’s how you say it) and lots and lots of very very nice food Think Dave was a bit sleuched by the end. But he’s off now for a week so I doubt he’ll care until the morning. Chatted with Phil lots who suggested that my operation on Tues could be painful - Unshocker. Made me think some though...Have arranged with work that I get to work from home for the rest of next week with Weds off sick. Taking my lappy into work tomorrow to get the VPN things installed and to test stuff over the weekend. Phil is gonna play taxi and look after me some on Tues as well...Yay... Made desktop wallpaper out of one of my groyne pics from Cromer. Purty. Now I’m sat at Parson’s Green, waiting for a train, whilst they continue to drink lots more... • 23:16: On a train... So we left the office at 6ish. Fancy dress. Three of the team wearing ponchos and big bushy moustaches. Most of the rest of us with capguns. Most amusing! We chose to walk, many shouts of “Oi gringo”. Shoo.ting passers by with cap guns. One cyclist yelled “Why did the Mexican jump off a cliff?” but then promptly almost cycled into the back of an Astra so we never found out. We were at a cashpoint getting cash. Someone with a gun suggested it was a “polite hold-up”. Managed not to get lost - many more sniggers tho Got to the venue. Gorgeous place. Upstairs bar, all beer free...mmmbeer. Down and out to the garden, with a big barbecue, tables, another bar, and then downstairs for a little patio and a “disco” room with DJ and another bar. Very cool. Had a burger with salad. We’re talking 1/2 pound burger cooked medium rare and freshly made from steak. Maize topped bun and salad etc. Gorgeously lovely. Chatted to some work people including a rather pissed Dave, then queued for half hour for the second barbecue and fresh chicken breast and lamb shish kebab with a side of corn on the cob. Yum! Far too full to drink very much, so quite happy...chatted more then headed home.
