Achey breaky arms...
Predictably I failed totally to be home to play with linux last night. Oops! Met with Dan in Harrow after picking up his xmas prezzy from Carphone whorehouse. Earned him some money, at least one occasion of which was a comedy double act live on cam. Some bloke offered to pay far too much to see him and predictably failed to pay up so that was annoying.
Tried to get Dan to get a bus to the gym and failed, so let him pay for a cab for us. Gym for an hour and a half. Made him do what I did Tuesday, ie Bike 15, walk 20 and row 5. Plus a load of weights stuff, which was nice. He’s getting fitter and I’m (possibly) getting less fat. I shall start putting my weight in here soon I think...
Three times this week. I ache like fuck!
Dan couldn’t sleep coz he’d drunk too much coke. So made sure I couldn’t either...the git...so am knackered and sleeepy.
Discovered that the IM client thing on my phone (AgileMessenger) is capable of sending images...you press the camera button and it takes a pic and sends it - groovy or what!?
Way too many problems with servers and shit to get that much done at work yesterday. Build broken a bit. Grr.
Should be able to pick up my new memorystick pro and DVD player tomorrow! \ö/
Tonight is Retro and Ben’s birthday (bromleyben) apparently. I also have to cook pork as it might go off. And eat vegetables. And tidy my flat. Long busy weekend ahead!
I should probably bill Rochelle for some stuff too as I’ve only billed them once this year. and I’m running a little low on cash. Oopsie!
Supposed to be doing something special this weekend...tho can’t for the life of me remember what. Oh well.
Chatting to a drunken Wil on MSN this morning at 8:30 was funny. Then I got to work and chatted to him on proper MSN. He let me see his webcam which scared the people who sit behind me as he was naked and singing. *titter*

Long day of bugfixing - bits of ui seem broken and the image release process appears to be ill. Upgraded postgres on Novak. Upgraded from my old 2.4.26 kernel to 2.6.9 on pixel. Man is it fast! Still need to work out the installation a bit - I have no mouse currently frinstance - but I should imagine it’s gonna be ok...
Didn’t finish work early enough to pick my old phone up so will try to tonight. Should be gymming with Dan I think.
Compiled the latest source from x.org - first time I’ve used it since the split - it promises true transparency if you enable bits of it so will have a play tonight. Have left konstruct compiling KDE this morning. 2.6 has an optional framebuffer console driver - it’s fucking fast!
Hoping KDE compiles without error (I updated from 2.4.26 as bits of the header were buggy and I couldn’t compile kdemultimedia) - then I shall compile K3B and rip DVDs

Nice personal trainer guy put me on a bike for 15 mins, treadmill for 20 and rowing machine for 5. Was so very dull...
Back to Dan’s to discover he’d spent many many dollas on a pay per view webcam site chatting up the ladies...tsk. That boy’s dangerous with money.
Got fuck all sleep as he got all hyper. Grr. So knackered.

Yawning with commuters...
Gym tonight (yay!) with Dan - well, hopefully with Dan. He’s sulking a bit because Network 3 is shite and broke last night - he now can’t make/receive calls from home because the cell is dead. I suspect he killed it, actually...
Made a yummy chicken salad last night after getting the griddle out and abusing some breasts...then Windypops with Ollie and Adam - who was still trashed - fabulously a lesser spotted moogal was spotted there too

Went to Southend yesterday to see mommy and Andy and the grand’rents...ended up going to a Harvester for lunch - had a vaguely nice Surf & Turf thing as well as ice cream for the first time in years...
Comedy menu faux pas though, as they’d used a title font that just didn’t work right, as the “t” looked far too much like an “f” for comfort. Can’t believe that got through a proof reading!
Talked lots about Valencia and how pretty it was, although I was completely knackered by this point and having trouble speaking...
One of the things we did was go to this nightclub in Valencia that was gorgeous, but gave the impression of being where the Bad Guys(TM) live in a dodgy hollywood blockbuster. You walk through the two HUGE double swinging doors which are embossed with some kind of pattern into a lobby where gorgeous leggy blondes loiter behind bars serving rich tanned people cocktails. Behind the bar and running the length of one half of this room is a vast aquarium filled with sharks opposite a slightly less vast one filled with tropical fish. Through into the main auditorium and there’s a small smattering of people littered around the bar on the right, mean looking security men guarding some cordoned off corners and a set of stairs built into what looks like the back of a cave on the left. Music is all a bit 90s, with many Spanish covers of English songs...
Upstairs is all a bit salsa and leather. Beautiful. Tho €4 for a coke is a touch too steep...

Dan left for Spain with some bloke at 5am. Still, at least he’s not in prison, which was a distinct possibility yesterday morning...the fun!
Lots to do for work. Lots of bugs coming in, some of which are pointless, some of which aren’t for me. Long meeting yesterday evening to try and get the wireframes to match the product. *giggle*.

Sat in Ku Bar (WHY!) on Saturday with Danny’s ex James, drinking cocktail pitchers and watching X Factor. Ugh. This was after trying to go out Friday night with dantheman and failing as it was all too weird out. Ended up cabbing back to mine and having a very wrong moment involving testicles and “deep heat” that was very wrong. Wrong.
Soo knackered. Was RobG’s birthday (kee) Sunday so we had birthday drinks at Retro on Sat...loads of people there...
Drunkenness. Debauchery. Etc. Sal got pissed because he misread a text message and thought that someone had died. Owen got hit by a barman for doing rude things to Warren’s ex at the bar in Ghetto. Sal got IDd *comedy*
We ended up going to the Swan (me an footle and womble...tho he chickened out and just left us with half the cabfare...) - met up with Martin there and had a drunken conversation with him about shite. Went back to the flat with Danny in tow so he could pick up his phone and with beers in the pockets of his coat smuggled from the bar
Sal managed somehow to make it to mine with Will, the aforementioned ex of Warren...Sal managed to throw up lots in the loo then steal half my bed. Grr. No idea what time I went to bed. Watched Children of Dune...
*hungover* Sunday. Didn’t do much other than watch trashy US television. Veronica Mars seems fun. Wonderfalls was excellently unpredictable. Watched Hex too...kinda intriguing but a bit “Dream Team” in it’s amazing acting abilities...

In a “I don’t give a shit” kinda stroppy mood at the moment. Pissed off with how Dan is treating people so perhaps was a bit strong with him last night. Oh well.
Yesterday at work was *fun* - as we were merging code most of the day I got to plug in the dev server and install and configure CVS, Tomcat and Apache, and I’m now halfway through configuring ant and my first ever build script...
More of that today, hopefully...and probably some bug fixes and shit.
Bush is leading the vote so far - hoping that won’t be the case in a bit, but almost resigned to it happening 
Out last night - watching Dan and Jerry play badminton after he spent half hour on the phone to his ex winding her up...then decided he should go visit her...and MSNned me from outside her house to tell me she wouldn’t talk to him...even though she’d said that she’d not answer if he turned up...I was possibly a bit harsh in my reply
He was being randomly racist earlier...and it pissed me off somewhat, considering my best mate’s Indian - so I wasn’t really in the right mood for it...
Been playing with MSN betas yesterday...the latest has the ability to scribble messages to people too...dead funkeh...
Probably heading to Retro tonight for much soda water and to see William (skywalker) as he’s back from bumming Thai boys...
Thinking about doing the north at the weekend, as the National Express is doing a deal - £10 return UK wide - so might do Manc or something...phoned NorthernJames to see how he was and to invite him down (I’ve not talked to him in over a month!) - sadly only got voicemail so don’t even know if he checked it...
Adam was still up when I got up for work. Second time this week. Bit worried about that, but I’m sure he’ll tell me if something’s wrong...

US election day. Listening to Radiohead’s “Electioneering” and watched Southpark’s take on it all - “Kyle, it’s always a choice between a turd and a douche” and their gangsta rap “Vote or die” campaign. Watched Enterprise with added Brent Spiner - hint - it’s still shit. Cooked chicken. Adam and Ollie were meant to be eating too when they got in, but they were pissed I think and didn’t touch it.
Got most of the new bits of design into the merge branch. This was put into the trunk yesterday evening so am going to see if it all works in a bit when I get in. Fingers crossed...
...when I get in...was bored and decided to get the tube from Aldgate East...first tube out is Hammersmith and City line, so I thought I’d try it

Holidays...
So...er...kinda been quiet of late...mostly coz Dan and I went to Brighton Thursday and I didn’t get in until 5am Sunday. Well, 4am as the clocks had broken...
So we’re in GMT now and the site clock is right again...
