Got home at 8ish last night. Phoned by Tom, who wanted pics done. Very cute! Spent some time putting all the bits into Dee’s PC to make the upgrade work. Need to buy more RAM, because I yanked the middle out of Manny to do it. Showed ref:Adam what the bits in a PC do. He has decided that north bridges are shiny and he wants to make art out of PC insides. Got to bed at 1:30 am (oopsie) after spending an age getting XP to install and then realising I was doing it the long way. Up at 7, XP installed. Failed entirely to get the old ISA EtherLink combi card to correctly function under XP so gave up and whacked one of my PCI ones in it and got it online and set up well enough to be able to remote to it from work and do the rest from there. Didn’t quite get all my bugs squished yesterday. Still one outstanding P2 against me, which I think is fixed but I need to check this morning. I suspect I shall be a tad late this morning. Bah. 9:21 and only just got to Earls Court. Apparently there’s a public transport strike next Tuesday and people may not be able to get to work so might get a day off. And I’m in Leeds. Cock.
