Musings on a world I am no longer sure about
Who00oo0o....Halloween
James is off to Manchester this weekend, I’m meant to be seeing me mother this weekend. Tonight is Halloween snuggles is having a halloween party and so I’m goin. Well, as long as I can find the thing
Wierd end of week. Ended up working at home on Thurs, and today too as there was too much to do in just one day. There’s none of the high level stuff to do though, coz they’re still working out the use cases, which meant I was very bored most of Weds. Outside it sounds like someone’s having a small war, but I know it’s only fireworks. Got lots of KHRP bits done today - and have got heaps of FreakCity updated this week, which has been nice
Wish I knew where the damn fireworks were, I’d go visit!

Cobham is the first circle of Hell!
I have decided that if I’m entirely wrong in my philosophy and those ranting raving swivel eyed christian odd people are right, that I’ll end up in hell, and it’ll look very much like Cobham. Only today did I go to the newsagents and have a conversation with Mrs Bluerinse that went along the lines of this: Scott says “Excuse me, do you sell peanuts?” Mrs Bluerinse replies “No dear, you’ll need an Off License for that” WTF?

Damp!
Why does Radox Moisture Boost handwash look so much like cum?
I digress...
Today I was very glad I spent £70 on waterproofs last week. *very* glad
It’s raining lots and lots and lots, but I managed to stay dry in my waterproof hat, gloves, trousers and jacket. But that wasn’t the worst of it...the half mile or so I have to cycle on a mud path to the office is...er...interesting
My bag and my external trousers...and my lovely Cats all look like an elephant with stomach problems has visited them. Am kinda thinking I might invest in some mudguards...

Happy Tuesdays
Well...arrived in the office to discover that there was a powercut. Lolled about a bit with nowt much to do. Postman arrived with my Fresh New Ram - Critical bought it for me as I have to use my own lappy here, so now it’s a touch faster than it was
So. I have a fast Laptop, and the power reappeared by about 10:30. And I saw no old people with FUCKING HUGE DOGS on the way in either.
Yay!
Have made a new theme for the site too

Bleh.
Am so tired. Not hurting now, not mad at all old people now either, just the stupid ones
Boring and dull day @ work. Nothing really for me to do at the moment...still, have a cunning plan about that
Got loads of stuff done @ the weekend. Maybe this not drinking fad is a good idea? Am sat in a tidy flat, have lots and lots of FreakCity done, have food, etc...
Mmmm beer

Grr
Just got chased by a fucking bulldog/rottweiler/big thing on legs with teeth and growly noises. Called fucking “Cindy”. Ban all old people. Especially ones with HUGE FUCKING DOGS. “No Cindy, don’t. Please don’t” as her whining fades into the distance Hit the gatepost as I came through it at speed...luckily didn’t get my laptop, but still...got my arm...the inside where my elbow is...now I look like a fucking junkie. Bah.

whoops. My bad
It’s been over a week since I told you, gentle reader, what I’ve been up to.
Well. Firstly, Monday was my first day in the new office. It’s really quite groovy! There will be photographs soon, as soon as I’ve written the code to go with it... basically, it’s in a converted water mill in Cobham, Surrey. They have the internet and everything!
I now have to cycle from Limehouse to Waterloo every day, and then get the train to Cobham and cycle down a mile of dirt track to get to work. Plus they don’t have a computer for me, so I’m using my own laptop.
Still, on the plus side, by the end of the two months I shall be slim and gorgeous, and I shall also be fit. And they don’t have such an evil firewall, so I can MSN happily from here
In other news...did some more photography, did some more work for Kas, did some more thinking about what to do with FreakCity this weekend, all kinds...

Woo, and indeed Hoo!
I phoned up Leeds nick to see if the T2 had been handed in. It hadn’t
So I phoned Barclays insurance and made a claim
EDI (the company they use for their parts) just phoned me back with replacement details.
“Unfortunately, the T2 is no longer available” she lied, “It’s been replaced by the T3, is it OK if we get you that instead?”
I almost fell off my seat
So by being a fuckwit and losing my T2, I’ve managed to gain a T3 for £50. And there was me thinking I’d have to fork out £329.99 for it
Rah!

Long week.
Well - I got lots done this week, have got IIS up and running on my computer, have got a full working mock application now, it’s impossible to tell the difference between it and the real thing
Almost finished Kas’s site too, plus I did some photos for a guy for his acting shots as well
Been a busy bee
James from Leeds apparently might be coming to visit me (with broken nose) this weekend - coz he needs to get away a bit and not be anywhere his ex might be, understandable really, considering that’s where the broken nose came from...
Am allegedly taking pics of Smee+Matt’s Duckie debut on Sat which should be fun. So all in all, busy weekend too. Think maybe I’ll not get hammered on voddie tomorrow evening and miss it all again
James (Coates - I know too many feckin Jameses) got his mortgage, so by the time I go to France next month, he might have a house an everything! Offered to help him decorate too...
Sulking coz my beard trimmer appears to not be working any more - put it on to charge and the ickle red light failed to light
Suppose I should probably get a haircut before birds nest in it.

party and things
Friday night involved me going out for a quiet drink after work. Yeah right!
Met up with Kas after work as she wanted to give me photos for her site - it’s going well, and quite pretty. Am using one of Tom’s eyeballs, hope he doesn’t mind...
Arrived at the Swan at about midnight to find a (ww)Chris there with a bloke called Rich I’d chatted to before. Who was wearing wipe clean leather trousers. Grrr
After a few vodkas and cokes I bumped into Many of Out. They let me join in their conversations even though I left out because I was socially inept. It was very sweet of them.
Met Bell the Cat and tried to explain through much vodka exactly why HLS pisses me off, and why the concept of a place solely designed to carve up ickle fluffy bunnies for hard cash was (IMHO) a very bad idea. Don’t think I managed it, but he did tell me I was lovely and ask that I rejoin Out...which was quite sweet
Encountered (ww)Chris dirty dancing (snuggles on here) with some oriental woman thing he’d found on the stage at the swan. This drove me to more drink. Bad bad bad me. Rich seemed to want to spend most of the evening in the toilet (ahem) with a “friend” and so didn’t get to chat to him as much as I wanted, although I came to suspect the wipe cleanness of his trousers might have been on purpose.
Staggered back to the flat at just after 3am, chatted to Rich a bit on MSN, went to bed, got woken up at 6:40 by my alarm because I was too drunk to remember to turn it off for the weekend. D’oh. So got up at about 11 and spent the whole day doing absolutely none of the things I was meant to be doing. James came over at about 8:15pm, he had been delayed trainwise, so we ended up two hours late for the party.
Smess came, briefly, b4 work, which was good. Lots of people I’d not seen in a while were there as well, which was very nice. Managed to avoid talking to all the right people, although I’m very sure they were avoiding me too, which is just the way I like it.
Most said phrase - “Have you seen the ladies’? It’s gorgeous”
Least said phrase - “Anyone seen my pint”
Must remember to ask Ollie how it went with the “str8” boy he was taking home
Everyone went on to Heaven/Sports Kit Night after, cept me an James who staggered home (he’d had a whole pitcher of V&Red Bull all to himself) and then went to bed by midnight.
Up at about nine, knackered, but had family visiting.
They picked me up at about half eleven and we buggered off to Spitalfields to wander about the market. Ate chinese, ate a cheese and mushroom crepe. Wondered how onion got in it.
We then went off to visit David Blaine, just so Oliver could get pics taken near him with the videophone thingy. Bless.
Christian (the ickle ickle babbeh) seemed somewhat scared by me. Which was nice, as it meant that he stopped crying and just looked worried whenever he was handed to me. Peaceful.
Max is bigger, walking, very smiley and really quite loud these days.
They have something called a “Buggy Board” that attaches to the back of the buggy, which means that Max was stood up at the back, hanging on to the handles as we took it in turn to push him along. He seemed to like leaning back rather a lot and managed to upend the buggy accidentally whilst on Petticoat Lane. As the centre of gravity was by his feet and Christian’s quite heavy, he went over slowly, his hood catching his head instead of the pavement. He ended up laying on the ground for a good few seconds with a shocked look on his face, before the fear kicked in and he started crying. I couldn’t stop giggling though, which was a little bad of me
Wandered up to Browns, where I had baked camenbert again. Mmm. Small children all had chips (well, Essex, hello?) and I made Oliver try some of the camenbert with bread. He was very impressed. Tho I forgot there were meant to be garlic chunks in it and ended up munching a whole clove righ

life smells
Long chats with James over the course of yesterday evening. Still confused.
*sigh*
knackered, but doing more stuff for Kas tonight. Then I feel the urge for vodka and bed. Possibly in that order.
Tomorrow it’s the big party. I so feel in the party mood.
I want to be in Manchester tonight.
Ah well

Curious
“Scottlet I wish to apologise to you for the way I went off the other night. I was totally out of order and it was the drink speaking. Quite out of character I can assure you. Like you I am a musicin and quite passionate and occasionally something gets my goat and I lash out. It had been one of those days where everything had gone wrong. I should not have done it and apologise sincerely. We have enough enemies in this world without creating them ourselves. I hope you can accept this. Reg” Came at me on gaydar. I have no idea who he is! Is it possible I’ve learned to argue in my sleep?

well Spirali, how do you feel now, punk?
Have discovered secret stash of crisps and chocolate.
Spirali may be empty, but we can still take them and insert money in Spirali’s worthless hide
Yay me.

Spirali M Budget! Noooo!
Day two of my enforced snack free diet. I’m so hungry. I swear I’m going to be 7 stone by the end of the week *cry* In other news, I have a photography job for Saturday, before the Amazing Relocating Party. Then I have to hurridly make a whole website on Sunday. No beers for me on Saturday, far too poor *honest*

Bah
Spirali M Budget is EMPTY. Honestly, Pat goes on holiday for two weeks and the office goes straight to hell.
I could waste away without my usual assortment of chicken flavour crisps and chunky kitkats

odd few days...
Due in Leeds on Friday, I decide my trip is jinxed as I run out of money promptly on the Thursday. James being lovely an all gives me a surprise birthday prezzie of lots of money, so I take £50 to Leeds, and think that’ll be enough
Arrive in Leeds, midnight, meet Matt for the first time, who is lufferly!
We end up in Queens Court - marvellous. Like KuBar but without the charm
Got to meet up with a guy called James who I’d been chatting to online, as well as his bloke Jon who goes by the gaydar ID total_bastard, even though he’s not at all. James is eevil and forces me to dance. I suspect though that it’s all a ruse to try and keep himself upright as he’s waaaay too pissed and staggering a bit. We all somehow end up piling back to Dan’s for more drinks and conversations, James promptly passes out and snores wonderfully whilst the rest of us watch shit music television and laugh at fake breasts in music videos. Conversation veers wildly and drunkenly between Michael Moore and sex (fortunately not Michael Moore having sex, as that would be a little hideous).
Dan’s new house is very sexy! 3 floors, ground floor has garage, computer room, toilet & shower, laundry room, middle has kitchen, dining and living rooms, and the top floor has 3 bedrooms and another toilet & shower. And Dan has the biggest widescreen television in the WORLD.
We (somehow) wake James up and all traipse upstairs. The three of us are in a cupboard with a bed which Dan calls a spare room - I get the bed, they get the floor. All three of us snore loudly and sleep far too long.
Dan’s mum complains of the house vibrating
Eventually we manage to wake up and get up. James isn’t hungover at all (the bastard) but Dan and Matt seem to be pretty bad - I’m mostly ok and Jon’s just quiet. More telly watching and then we drop those two at the station and go out into the Big Wide Northern World to go and achieve breakfast.
Wander about in the cold for what seems like hours until we settle on a lil café for sausage, then we head back to the car and head home. Those two go for a nap and so I wander down to the computer room and sit online for a few hours gossiping with people. Our plan for the evening is to go to Manchester and get very drunk
James discovers he’s too skint to come out, but the lovely deev takes his place and manages to run from his house to Leeds station in about 10 minutes, which is no mean feat at the best of times, and today, Deev is very hungover. VERY hungover
He arrives just as we do, coincidentally just in time for us to completely fail to get the next train by about 5 minutes, a grim prelude to the fun I’ll end up having the day after.
I’m buying a ticket to Manchester and have just put my card into the machine when Dave suggests that as it’s half hour to the next train and that he’s not gonna be drinking, he might as well drive us. We all agree, and drive Dan’s car round to Chez Deev + Charlee, switch cars and then zoom off over lots of hills to Manchester.
We arrive just in time for pubs to close, luckily for us, Canal Street is mostly open, so we pop into McTucky’s so I can stuff my face full of chicken (unshocker) and the others can be somewhat warmer, as winter appears to have arrived.
We head off to Via Fossa and sit about chatting and drinking for a bit. Giggling at the clientelle proves fun entertainment for a while...
We head off to the Rembrant. Good god that place has changed. There were half the people in there that there used to be, and it’d been decorated to look like an accident in an Ikea shop. Still, cheap voddie, so I wasn’t complaining
We decided to try and find a 24hr shop as we needed fags and food and cashback and fun things like that. Annoying fat patronising bloke in shop informs me that he will have to charge me extra as my £4.99 card purchase isn’t £5. I buy a milky way. That teaches him
My card is<

Hm. Security my arse
Apparently I can’t install PWS because of the “security issues”. So I cannot run IIS on a machine that has a real time virus scanner running on it that’s behind a firewall that doesn’t allow connections on port 80 from the outside because it’s a security risk. *sigh*

long and winding road
Money. Ran out. Only the 3rd of the month. Ooops.
I think I need some way of achieving cash and fast. Especially as I’m going to be in Leeds this weekend wisiting danlad - we’re meant to be doing manchester as well...I’m so glad that everything’s cheap in the North
So...Queens Court tonight. Lovely. Then chill out and relax a bit. I’m probably gonna take my laptop with me and then do some work on the train, or possibly surf a bit or something...not sure yet.
Got some more work from Kas, wants me to design a rather interesting *ahem* site for her - which is cool, more money in the bank an stuff. Also KHRP want me to produce their report covers too apparently - so *proper* graphic design again
Have some more fun stuff to do at work too, making a functional mockup that gets its data from an Oracle database. Should be pretty
