Musings on a world I am no longer sure about

I sold out.

...I’ve just ordered a shiny new Macbook Pro to replace both my Air and my Dell. I feel dirty : ( In other news, on call, so not been doing much. Seem to have ended up on call over christmas and new year which is a bit irritating. A month until I go on holiday with Liam, think we’re both looking forward to it as it’ll be a nice break for us both : ) Popped over to Ed’s place to film his robot cutting things up. It’s hyooj, doesn’t really come across in the videos I don’t think but the timelapse one — that block of polystyrene was 170x50x50cm in size. Spent some time redesigning www.thecncfactory.com - will finish the new work later this evening with a bit of luck. Trying to back my laptop up over wifi is tedious. It keeps crapping out on me. I wish someone made a wireless adsl2 router that worked right and could handle multiple IPs without hideous amounts of patching. Grr ; ) Am up to date with Bones. It’s kinda fun in a brainless odd way. Just remember that the murderer is usually seen in the first act and one of the friendly supporting staff and it’s easy to dismantle the show and work out who the killer is. Still, it’s quite fun, for the ick factor and (mostly) for the characterisations, although they got a bit wobbly in Season 3... Guest spots from the guy who plays Neelix, the women who played Lilah and Libby from Carnivàle and a few others make it fairly interesting. The Season 4 series opener set in London was irritating until they stopped trying to play the differences between them and us and concentrated on the story. Bought a load of Fiona Apple CDs. Still swaying to them all. Also bought an HD video camera that can do AVC and have been filming random things like fireworks. Am stunned by the quality!
