God I’m old...

Tuesday September 30th, 2008 at 8:06am

34. I got a pony from Liam (ok, a Cats in Paris DVD and a windchime, but I’m calling it a pony), some phonecalls from other people, all my old DVDs and books back from Owen and an executive ball scratcher from Jamie. Justin got a ticket for parking in my visitor bay and everyone else got filled with pizza, so it wasn’t all bad. So yesterday I felt crappy and stayed home, this morning I was up at 5 and in the office for 7 and now I want to kill Poplar HARCA who changed the parking scheme at home and didn’t tell me. Apparently I have to buy a book of scratchcards if I want visitors to come stay. How shit is that? Apparently they also asked residents what they wanted and I knew nothing of it. Grr.

Power

So I let down my guard Soak myself in the countryside Envelop my skin in green Sink into blackness Held firm against the darkness Until I decide it’s time To arise, renewed, and walk Fresh and clean I return So I force my guard to stay Soak myself in my own bitterness Envelope my skin in grey Sink into darkness Held firm against black Until I lash out Arise in anger and run Until no-one can touch me So I turn to you I feel you but cannot help But feel myself

fucked

Friday September 19th, 2008 at 23:20pm

When you work out that what you’re ab out is more about being right than about other people, it’s bad. It doesn’t stop the fact I’m right, but means I have to bow out and reevaluate things. Because I’m not everyone’s rock, I’m not entirely accurate 100% of the time, I just have a gift for seeing truth and I need to learn how to apply it better. Or just not say it, which is what I did in the past. I aqm lost. Fuck it, I don’t care any more. If people can’t deal with the truth, don’t talk to me. I’m so fucked up with it all now I’m not likely to see straight anyway

Interesting...

Wednesday September 17th, 2008 at 16:45pm

A video I shot of the Google Android demo yesterday seems to have made it to the Register... www.theregister.co.uk/2008/09/17/android_launch_next_week/ Probably explains the 129,587 views it’s had since yesterday lunchtime. Damn I feel popular : D

She Wants Revenge...

Friday September 12th, 2008 at 12:55am

...have released a new EP. Which reminded me I meant to post the lyrics to a hidden track on their last album. It makes me thoughtful : ) He’s losing the girl now His feelings overwhelm her so but nobody told her that’s not always such a bad thing It started in whispers came in when she had her man swept her away fast and said, “There’s been a change of plans.” At first she was spellbound hanging on his every word. Every touch perfect she could kiss him all night, but he’s no longer the bad guy now he’s just her boyfriend she doesn’t know how to tell him, “My dear, there’s been a change of plans.” She turns the phone off, hide behind little lies. And shuts the blinds, turns the lights low laying low. She tells herself that he won’t mind, he’ll never mind And says goodbye but he can’t hear it’s killing time. She’s losing the boy now; her feelings they pushed him away Even though he had mentioned this time we’d like to take it slow She tried to get inside he was having none of that then she started to pull back, she knew she had to change her plan Soon it worked in a chase All the way he wanted her but after they made love, he got a little gun-shy Now he’s frightened to call her She tries to play the waiting game, but then she just couldn’t take it she knew she had to change her plan He turns the phone off, hide behind little lies. And shuts the blinds, turns the lights slow laying low. He tells himself that she won’t mind, she’ll never mind And says goodbye but she can’t hear it’s killing time.I’ll stand witness to this prosecution, crossing your fingers couldn’t save me the damn sight Mixed emotions, giggles as the tears dry. I need attention and she needs a solution.

Thirty three Feet West.

Friday September 12th, 2008 at 10:04am

The Large Hadron Collider didn’t kill anyone, which is unsurprising as it was only fired up for a full speed test. People never listen — been feeling pretty shite recently, so apologies to anyone who got it in the neck from me. Blah. I’m kinda lucky I have a Liam sometimes... Faux pas! I got my days wrong and thought today was next week! Ah well. Gives me another week of tuning the piratizer... Found this: <> It shall be a chorus to a cheery tune I will write soon. Hopefully I’m going to get time to sort out some of Léigh’s website sometime soon. And some more of freakcity. Merp. So much stuff to do. So little time. My birthday meal is happening. Ask Liam or me when (27th) and where if you’re interested in coming... Spose I’d better choose an outfit. Right now I don’t care as I have a HUGE banana to eat.

New month. New Labour!

Monday September 1st, 2008 at 10:11am

So it’s once again my birthday month. This week I’m celebrating the fact by being on call and spending most of my Friday evening trying to keep a shop online. Saturday was spent chilling out, bought a desk for Liam and dumped it at his — ran off to Covent Garden and admired some lovely camping equipment whilst eating nibbles at Borough Market earlier in the day. Wetherspoons for lunch. Have decided it’s not wise to try and eat sensibly when out in Lewisham. Watched Sunshine with Liam yesterday. Was amazing. Of course, there had to be a small zombie type person at the end but other than that, was interesting. As in very pretty. Very very pretty : ) Plus, Chris Evans was in it and acted. No, really... Been having issues with Bluetooth® and my PC, it seems not to like playing video when the bluetooth dongle is plugged in without huge pauses. Bought steak at Waitrose yesterday. Muchos yummy, tho spending £12 on steak was possibly extravagent. They’re individually wrapped tho and will keep for a week. My new camera should arrive today or tomorrow, as will my supermegadrive for my Macbook Air. Or whatever it is they’re calling them...I may move my iTunes library across to it and keep all the apple bits in one place. Bought some new music. Still in love with Rough Trade rather a lot. \o/ A week of on call will allow me to do worky things in the evening I think.
