My cutesy little Linutop 2 has been delayed and will not ship until next Tuesday, which is a touch annoying, but I’ll live. Mysterious Skin arrived last night, shipped from Thailand. I swear I don’t remember buying it from there. It had been opened and was covered in white powder too, so if I die of Anthrax then that’ll be why. Although I suspect it was customs and excise being silly. My new laptop is just like my old laptop but shinier, faster and has firewire so I can plug my video camera in. I am happy with it. It also supports AHCI which seems to not actually do very much different, but is apparently better for laptops and power management. Making it work under Vista was...interesting... Fun weekend last weekend involving my old bike, Liam, Greenwich and some canals. Pics in flickr. Went to the George last Thursday with Chris and saw 4 bands including The October Game who were rather good. Bought their album and have been listening to it rather muchly. Winj introduced me to a woman with amazing sausages, moogal and sister came along too and much merriment was had by all. Alcohol free weekend last weekend, pretty much. Bought a new coat and some champagne flutes. And some champagne to fill them. Because we went out and did stuffs instead of rolling around the flat, hungover, it seemed like a really long weekend, which was nice. Must try and do that more often. I require a banana.
