gimmick! Well, not really. Ill, sore throat and can’t sleep. And this is day two of my three day holiday. I was meant to be finishing FC2 in this time but I can’t bring myself to it Last night went to see the final night of the Mark Thomas and Rob Newman tour at the Shepherds Bush Empire. Packed, got the last 2 seats together when I booked Monday. Very very good. Mark regaled us with the Hinduja story (the one Newsnight chickened out of broadcasting after count them - six high court injunctions). Only one mention of Sam (aww) and a few jokes recycled but genuinely fab. Rob Newman was full of historical facts and figures a la Eddie Izzard - was an outstanding set. He’s come a long way since the knob gags. Still very bizarre and strange, but very very cool. Does a wicked impression of Tony Blair too. Chris was drunken when I met him, which was fun, although he decided to direct us to the Shepherds Bush Empire and took us the wrong way so we got a bus back. And some KFC Was nice to see Sam again - almost clean shaven, swigging brew ("It was a present from the tour manager!") Gimmick bands arrived yesterday morning. Yay!
