Musings on a world I am no longer sure about
A sky of lead
grey mist dooms us all Silence drifts up to my 5th floor penthouse flat. Silence thick, hanging heavy in the air - occasionally punctured by far off police sirens, a soft melody against the night’s steady rhythm.
Quietly I lay in bed contemplating what I’ve become. I’m isolated (through choice) but expectant. I have few ties and so only the stress of money. I quietly pass by many of the things I used to seek.
Silence.
Is this how it ends? People become so withdrawn that in the end they do not recognise the shape of the outside world?
Do I even want that?
Yes.
After all - the world is as it has always been - it’s only the fluff we call society that ebbs and flows around it. And that took a turn for the worse a few years ago and now there is no hope - it will carry on a few more years until it falters and buckles under its own conscience...
Tremendous! I am at peace!
Until the next thing rocks the boat...
Work was shiny. I left at 7:30 with mission accomplished for one of the two extra WAP features I’m implementing. Got home determined to do the blog bit of the beta - looked at the existing code - felt a bit ill and went to bed. What was I thinking? Ick.
More batfruit tonight. Yay! And this time I remembered to wear a belt so I’ll be safe
Am considering doing Ajax blog references - so you hover over a reference and the data is populated in the tooltip...think it’d be very cool
