Batteries Not Included

The weekend was quite special. It started, as ever, with madness abounding. Friday was cool and chilled. I got out of work bang on 5 having failed to get my bugs to be fixed. Spose I’ll have to mend them this morning... Got home to discover ref : Dan had been getting the boys involved in the whole home business thing *snigger* Did cam stuff until 10 then took Dan to Barking to show him how easy it is to do stuff without cabs. Took ref:Adam to the Swan to see Rose Garden and drink a sinful amount of alcohol. Bumped into Blouse and Gareth in there and chatted lots. Adam told me something surprising. Staggered back home with some (not very well) hidden bottles of Newcastle Brown and attempted to watch “Hole in the World” which was somewhat hampered by me trying to explain “Smile Time” goings on, then giving up and just playing it first. Bed at 4ish. Bleh. Up bright and early Saturday afternoon - sat online, convinced Dominic to come clubbing, went with Ben, Alastair and Adam to dtt’s birthday party at Retro. Womble bought Adam a cigarette holder with built in lighter for xmas - much impressedness all round. Discovered to my amazedness that a) they were all going to XXL and b) that my membership hasn’t run out yet. Met up with Dominic. Got almost pulled by a cute bloke with a furry chest. Bumped into Michael. Bumped into a guy I’ve been chatting to on gaydar all week who is rather gorgeous. Adam got bought entry by Womble so XXLed too. Was an odd crowd (just after xmas...) and I was way too hungover to really enjoy it. Oh well. Got home at about 3am and shagged some then slept a bit. Up earlyish on Sunday for boredom attacked me along with the urge to go shopping. So winched Adam out of bed and got us on a train to Lakeside. Or so we thought, but no! So having run like mad people for the fucking thing we end up stranded in Laindon for 20 minutes and then on another train back to Upminster for a *further* 20 minutes until we got the correct one. Total time: 1:30. Grr. It’s only meant to take 20 minutes ; ) Wandered around Lakeside looking at the chavs and chavettes...some were very cute...and there were a myriad chavlings too all running around in their adidas caps and shiny white trainers bigger than their heads. Bless. Some talent, but not as much as previous times. Went to M&S just to scare Adam but it backfired as he found stuff in there he quite liked. Although equally that could have been scary enough for him anyway...bought some authentic cargo pants made in Korea or somewhere awful. I wish M&S would behave better ; ) Bought some things made by FCUK. Which is a tad worrying. Although I didn’t get them in M&S of course. Adam bought fags. We looked at life size replica light sabers and boggled a bit, although not as much as we did the chavlings, bouncing around in huge air cushioned trainers and swearing their tiny fucking minds out. Aww. It was sweet ; ) Got to Barking for 6ish and met up with Dan, got back to the flat and earned some cash. Deep meaningful conversation type thing and a distinct lack of sleep means I feel like shit now and am powered by clipper fair trade instant... My battery arrived on Saturday morning, but I was too comatose to hear the door, so I left early and went via the post office to pick it up today. So I should have a working Libretto later...am considering a) buying a new drive for it, b) buying more ram for it and c) putting the drive in something else and whapping a linux on it Rah. Then I will have a portable tiny (very slow) wifi enabled laptop about the size of a book. Yay!
