Musings on a world I am no longer sure about
Tried to wear you as a jewel, chose to wear you as a bruise...
Didn’t do too much on Thursday as we were both knackered. Logged on to shagdar to see a message from James he sent whilst we were in the sauna explaining his PC was broken and he’d only just got my message about Leeds and inviting me over if I had time. Felt bad about that coz it was so sweet - Showed Adam and he "aww"ed. I had an early night, Adam went for a walk.
Chatted to random people online, as Adam was on many coaches to Reading to retrieve Simon. Got stood up by a random bloke. Plotted how to acquire money. Fun. Honed my scaryoldman profile with appropriate pics Adam took in the sauna
By now it was Friday. William told me of his houseboy, I told him off for copying me. Arranged to meet them @ CXR at 5ish. Arrived @ 6:15ish. Oops. William’s houseboy is lovely, but a tad camp. He claims this is only when he’s drunk but I suspect that this is far from the truth
Pissed about in CXR for a couple of hours, leaving rather predictably just as happy hour started. Got to Retro in time to wish Adam a happy birthday. I’m none too sure if he’ll remember that! Miggyman was there and lovely. Not met him before and doubtless gave a good impression as I slurred onto him. Oops! Got a brief potted history of Will’s boy, I suspect he and Adam will form a houseboy union and demand better wages.
Gaz and Deev turned up at closing time, just in time for me to fail to drunkenly convince them to come to the Swan.
Ran off home via the offy for a little coke. Had voddie and chatted to people some. Bed too late considering it’s Pride tomorrow...
Danny had made all these plans for everyone to meet up and they invariably fell apart. Got to Marble Arch at about 12:15, having been unable to get gays off my carpet. Was much smaller than previous years. Met up with some freakcity people. Igster waved an “out” balloon at me and sarcastically asked where FreakCity’s ones were. Yeah right. As soon as I start charging for the site I can waste license money on balloons. Pointed out that FreakCity was too fruity for gays...
Found Justin Fink who I’ve not seen in ages. Taught him how to open champagne whilst marching. Watched as he tried to swig it like coke and got it all down him. Giggled.
Saw wotsit who runs Sim. Walked past a woman who was punching herself repeatedly in the head. Finished the march and did Sainsburys Local (a local supermarket for local people) and bought various gorgeous things including a huge chocolate truffle cheesecake. Deev bought 24 bottles of Stella and instantly regretted it as we started the walk to St James’ Park from Victoria.
Five days later, we arrived, lost and alone, half dead from lack of gin, to the post pride picnic.
Some scary old man attempted to massage his ego by singing to a backing track and claiming it as tradition...his batteries didn’t hold out.
Took loads of piccies, ate too much. Hugged various people. Giggled as Richard and then Simon lost their trousers. The pissheads. Zaty has my camera but with an added wide bit at the end. After some amusement we headed to Retro to meet others. Wasn’t planning on drinking at all.
James phoned me. From London. Which surprised me a tad!
He tried to get me to come to XXL with him, but I got him to come to Retro instead.
Got really nervous about it for no apparent reason...not seen him in about 8 months and last time we met was in Queen’s Court in Leeds and we were both pissed and both had boyfriends but both kinda liked each other.
He’s got a pink mohican now and looks so damn sexy it’s scary...he was with a friend but his friend disappeared off for a bit so we got to hug lots and he got to be groped by everyone in Retro, which was fun. He handled DrunkOwen very well - “we’ve not seen your willy yet either...” *flop*
He went back on the tube to Clapham, randomly beating someone up for not liking him being gay on the way - just before he left he asked me if I’d be his boyfriend if he came to live in London. It was so s
