Shorthand for “rolling on floor, laughing my arse off”, slightly more classy than the ubiquitous “LOL” , “laughing out loud” or the version often used by young gay men, “LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL”, presumably “laughing out loud out loud out loud (ad nauseum)”. Which makes no sense, but then to me they rarely do.
