Last night was Alanis and it was fucking fantastic, the best experience of my life! There were a few disasters along the way like on the way our train was delayed because of a points failure so we hat to wait 20 mins for them to move the train and wait for another to come in so they could join them together. The did announce that there was a faster virgin train that is stopping at platform 1 if you want you can get on that but you had to have this and that sort of ticket and by the time we had found out that we had the right ticket the train had gone. The train journey seemed to take aaaaaaaaaaages but when we finally got to Euston we grabbed a bite to eat which ended up being a dry panini and i had a latte which taste awful. After some more flapping around we headed to brixton on the tube, i had to sit on Genienes lap for most of the tube journey as it was soo packed. When we were walking down the street to the Academy some bloke collared me and started to talk to me and i couldn’t get rid of him in the end Geniene did a good save and managed to drag me away. After thinking where the fuck is the Academy and after finding it we went into the Backstage bar for a Pint and to start getting excited about tonight’s performance. Some girls started to speak to me about how they have seen Alanis before and how good she was which made me look forward to the night even more. After one pint we went to get into the Academy and the queue was all the way round like block, it was long. So we traipsed around the queue trying to find the end and it was 3 streets away. After queuing for about 20mins we finally got in and that’s when the next disaster struck. Michael had got his ticket off E-bay and we just assumed that it was the same as mine and Genienes but no, Michaels was for Seating where as mine and Genienes were for standing. After muchos panic and remembering that we had sold a ticket to notdan and begged him if we could swap it which he did. GOD BLESS YOU! Alanis opened with 8 Easy Steps which made my night. It was just a good night all round, and a few people got special phone calls from me and my apologies to Alice who had my drunken babbling for about 15 mins. Train that we were going to get home was canceled so we had to wait an hour for the next one which was a pain and i had an argument with some fool at the train station as they had to join two trains together and he was shouting that he had been kept waiting because the other one was canceled and he wanted to get on right this minute. I used a lot of bad language and told him to just let them do their job. The fool, shouting isn’t going to get you anywhere. Good night was had by all who went I think, and especially by me. It’s a night that I will not forget in a long time.
