1. An objectionable person.
2. A person. Also used in a sense of pity, see ‘sod’.
3. A situation or event that is difficult or distressing. E.g."It’s a real bugger Pete catching the flu on his summer holidays."
Exclam. Expressing annoyance or frustration.
Verb. To ruin, damage, break. E.g."If I find out it was you that buggered my DVD player, then you can forget borrowing money from us to go on holiday."
