Job applications

Friday September 26th, 2003 at 13:04pm

I find myself in the position of waiting to hear whether I am going to get an interview for the job which I applied for. The closing date for applications was Monday 22nd and I have still not heard anything. Gave them a quick phone call today and got an answering machine, on which I left a short message asking for an update on the progress of my application. Sitting here with fingers crossed. Not sure if I want the job but it would give me some leverage with my current employers. Here’s hoping Progress report as it happens

Time for another meaningless rant Last night I did not sleep very well and I dont know why not. Its not as if I was running through lots of little things all night. Its not as if I was horny If someone had been in bed beside me I wouldn’t be complaining but I need my beauty sleep Got up this morning and then had to go and do the walking bus with the kids to school. It certainly woke me up but hasn’t done anything to alleviate the tiredness More rants later

Monday 15th September 2003

I am sitting here logged into OutintheUK, Gaydar and here totally bored and feeling all alone I have applied for a new job and trying to not get too hopeful that I will get it. If I get the job it will not only mean starting with a new company after 17 years with my current firm but will also mean that I will have to move house as I am currently in accommodation that comes with my job. In some ways I dont want to get the job as I am not sure how long it will last but on the other hand I am so close to telling my current employers to go stick themselves as they couldn’t organise a piss-up in a brewery The other thing is that I will at least be in a 9-5 job and not on call at all times I also am missing my sexy guy Rory- we cant make our minds up if we are a couple or not. We both want the other but distance is stopping us being together. He’s a student and I am quite low paid so we cant afford regular visits to see each other. The average cost of a flight is £130 or 12-14 hours on a ferry for £60
