I’ve just awoken from a very bizarre dream which involved me going to toilets a lot and being pee-shy, cars and car seats, the parental home, a cat and two brothers (oh and two thousand pounds).

It’s unusual for me to be sat doing this on a weekday but today is my second days holiday of 2006 (and the third on Monday). I’m heading off for the weekend later this morning. There never sems to be a good time to take holiday and this weekend is no exception, but as it’s past the middle of August already I don’t feel guilty in the slightest.
I’ve been working long hours, going in before 7am coming home anything up to 10pm and if I come home ‘early’ (6 or 7) then I’ll sit and do another couple of hours here in the flat. Was supposed to fly out to LA last Monday but the previous Friday we decided I wouldn’t. My colleague was still going until Sunday afternoon when he was told the flight was cancelled. I’m rather glad I didn’t go.
I now have a Dell laptop sans battery. Better that than an explosion in my lap, not that I’ve had one of those in ages. We’re being told at work that it’s 10-11 weeks for a replacement but I’m not sure who told our IT dept. I’ve been wondering how long it will be before you’re not allowed to take a laptop/mobile phone on a flight at all (even in the hold) - or maybe you could if you leave the battery behind.

Our village had its first village show/fete/whatever last weekend, good day and our stall, which was mainly erected to promote the attempted building of the village hall, made a reasonable amount of money. I also got absolutely wasted in the village pub - yes I know it’s not a stress reliever

Ah well, the mist is clearing across the grounds, I’d best go pack the car.
