So, for the first time in ages I went out and had fun this weekend. My friend Emma and her sister Jodie came down from Newcastle for the weekend - it’s her 30th birthday on 1st October. Out for a nice meal on Friday night, shopping with the girls Saturday afternoon (not been on a girlie shopping trip for ages). Then out getting quite drunked on Saturday night. Got a small kiss off a straight guy in Living Room, courtesy of Em, who was randomly taking pictures of cute guys arses (and I pointed his out as very cute). So why don’t I go out and have fun more often? I know I don’t have a lot of spare cash at the moment, but I should surely be able to afford to have a weekend every now and again. Trouble is a) finding people to go out with and b) summoning the energy/enthusiasm. I will definitely have to start trying a bit harder. I miss Emma, though we speak at least twice a week on the phone (often more) and communicate constantly by email. Now she may be heading off to Canada if things pan out with the new love of her life. I guess one of the ’interesting’’ things about life is the constant change, though some changes are more palatable than others. Still you can’t stand in the way of people and stop them doing what’s best for them. Just be supportive of their choices and hope that they’ll be around to support you. So, the end of my weekend of fun and now I feel a bit ‘flat’. Work looms tomorrow (would they be suspicious if I threw a sickie?)
