NYE 2006
The NYE Victims! New Years Eve 2006.... Is one that i am not going to forget for a long time!
We went over to Mel’s, who kindly invited us over again because we are such great company (of course that’s just me)
We had nibbles, drink (the most important part), music, lots of dancing, especially to Cotton Eyed Joe, where we had the best dancing going on there! We were co-ordinated. Something that some of the best professional dancers of the world would be jealous of!
I didn’t break anything this time like I did on Christmas Eve, so I am proud of myself for managing that as i am a clumsy git!
We rang in the New Year with party poppers, Cava, dancing, singing and general roudyness which was followed by more drinking and eating.
The time came to leave and it all started to go a bit tits up. We crossed paths in the street with a group of lads who for some apparent reason turned nasty and decided to take their drunken anger out on us! What really happened, I’m not too sure, as it was all a bit sudden, but all I know is that the end result wasn’t very pretty. The police were not particularly helpful with the whole situation, and after two hours of us waiting for them and an ambulance to turn up, they never did.
It took me awhile to convince Matt that we’re going to A&E or else i would sit on his face! Of coarse because the Police and the Ambulance didn’t turn up we had to walk the badly bleeding and injured Matt to A&E.
Finally we arrived at A&E, got Matt seen much against his will but i think the idea of me sitting on his face kinda made him realise he was going to be seen whether he liked it or not! He tried his very best to get out of having stitches and flirting with the Triage Nurse so he could jump the queue!
Got home at 6am in the end, very tired and emotional, so we’ve all just had a lazy day today. The police finally turned up at 7pm to take our statements, but there isn’t really anything that they can do now as it’s been so long. But if they had turned up in the first place maybe this would have got sorted out sooner!
I think i am going to snuggle in the lounge under my duvet, watch and film and drink tea.
Let’s hope there isn’t too much fighting in the rest of 2007!
