Every single second that passes brings you closer to death. Your choice is to sit back and wait for that death or make every single second of your life count. My code is compiling, so I’m randomly blogging as I do. I could simply stare off into space, but I have a time set aside for that. My kettle is boiling, so I shall sort out washing until the click happens. My job sucks so I shall work on changing it. It’s too easy to not bother doing any of these things, far simpler just to sit back and wait. But distract yourself with the minutæ and watch as a whole new world unfolds. Have you ever walked along your street and then looked up and discovered a new street above you, above head height? I guess it pays not to be complacent. A few weeks ago I had A Plan™ and knew what I was doing. The plans changed. I spent an evening battling with this mentally, thinking that the world is unfair and thinking the worst, then I realised that I was defeating the purpose of the plan with the layout of the plan. The core things I want to happen have already happened, the rest is simply window dressing. So next time you feel like the floor has been wrenched from under you, you can mourn the missing floor or simply try and find a new one. The next few months are going to be tough. Some of you know why, some of you don’t. L is going to need muchos hugs from underdramatic people, I’m going to need to not fall back into bad habits and all in all, the path may have changed, but there’s no reason we can’t end up in the same place. Until we get there, we’ll just keep making every moment count for something. In other news, Orange gave me a PSP for services rendered. Bless ’em. Sadly, I’ve already got one — anyone want to buy a brand new PSP Slim + Lite? It’d make a fab xmas present for someone... Bought two monitors off eBay. Now I have 1680x1050 x2 on my desk. Excessive much? Bought some more bedroom furniture and am in the process of throwing away lots of shit that I don’t want or need. Must get James to pop over and pick up all his hats and shoes...
