Bought Radiohead’s new album yesterday. Properly, like, with cash and got one of them CD things. Imagine if you held their entire career up in front of a mirror and then shattered the mirror and captured the reflected bits on a CD and released it. Moments that twinkle, hint at greatness but don’t ever get there. Disconnected beats pull heavily sampled guitars across distorted vocals and bass in a lyrically vague mess of sound that NME probably called groundbreaking. Where did it all go so wrong?
