Just had my exit interview. Excitement! I’m going to break my own rules for freakcity and use someone else’s code in it. I wouldn’t usually, but I’ve been using the Dojo Toolkit at work and it’s amazing. a-fucking-mazing. Implemented some drag and drop stuff in literally 5 minutes. It rocks. And it’s GPL so I can use it and it’s not stealing I’ve been considering this for a while anyways, having some functionality that’s not going to work in text browsers — most of the site as it stands functions in Lynx. It’s useable in it. It’ll stay useable, but some features won’t work. Such as polls, which require javascript to work at the moment. So it’d mostly be enhancements to the existing site. I have an idea for images that involves drag and drop — patently this won’t work in a text browser, but then again, nor will the images, so I’m going to do it and see if anyone explodes. Made pork and potatoes and carrots last night. Made enough for 4 so have clingfilmed two and will have one tonight as well. Might come home with cheesecake for mogwai if he’s good Bought some CDs. Crash OST, Hannibal OST, Bladerunner OST and Donnie Darko OST. I have the mp3s already but I listen to them enough for me to care about them... Ripped a load of stuff to 56kbps M4A — so far not hugely impressed, it does very very odd things to accousticky stuff like Tracy Chapman that has bits in stereo and bits not. Very odd things. Downloaded the Third Doctor adventure “The Time Monster” and am currently half way through it. Made TJ watch too...I think he was captivated by the incredible SFX and amazing dialogue. Tonight I shall sleep lots.
