ARR! Work was bearable yesterday. Felt crap but not *too* crap, so thought I’d mosey on down to Retro to see what was what. Managed to get a ticket on the door, yay me. Wendy was wearing a gorgeous dress that almost entirely matched the flock wallpaper. I congratulated jamesbass on his large instrument. Hurhurhur, bet he’s never heard THAT joke before a thousand times. sexylushcrazycool did the first “Ghost of Karaoke Past” with spiritusmundispit bringing up the rear with the second one. the Christmas Carols were lovely as was the sherry and mince pies. And the screaming balloons and bubble mixture. And party poppers and beer. Lots of shiny beer. Owen got to be a reindeer with MoJen. Staggered home, pissedly fixed novak (for the time being, I think) and chatted to Chris until about 2am, telling him lots of things that he probably thought I was just telling him coz I was pissed, but really meant quite a lot. This feels different, as well as being new and fun it feels like we connect on a strange level that I’ve never really connected with anyone else at before. It’s nice, makes me feel hugged when I’m sad, makes me feel shiny. Yay.
