Camping...

Monday July 12th, 2004 at 7:31am

Cor. My Palm appears to have totally reset itself rather bizarrely! So I’m writing this in BabyWord...hopefully I won’t accidentally lose it all or something : D Arrived at the campsite at about 9:45pm. Uneventful drive - late setting off because Adam was late (unshocker) and Alasdair and Ben were early...Managed to get entirely lost by taking the wrong turning right at the end - but this only slowed us by around 10 minutes.... Nikki and Brian were there at around 8ish and had themselves all sorted out - tho she’d not put our tent up, the cow... After ignoring her and not taking a right at the bottom and driving into a tree, we got to our pitch. The tent she’d lent me had been fingerpainted all over by the kids of someone and so looked gorgeous : ) Had some of their wines - Brian makes his own - and some of his homemade gin. Stayed up all night drinking and being randomly stupid. Embarrassed myself a tad. Oopsie. So was very wankered by the time they got up again. My recollection of the morning is somewhat wobbly. Remember Ben buying cigs for me. Remember Puppy dribbling coke in my bellybutton as I sunbathed topless. Remember them all running off to steamtrains. We went to bed and I embarrassed myself a lot. Remember a damp Puppy waking us up and trying to pay for stuff by cheque in the Village Shop. Remember Adam being a bit poorly after eating explosive pastry and drinking some water... The rest of them got back a bit later...they’d been zooming around on steamtrains and stuff like tards...bless ’em : ) I was feeling pretty dodgy but mostly I was ok - drank plenty of water and ate some barbecued chicken...mmmyum : ) Puppy made a ring of fire out of candles and we moved all the chairs into it and sat listening to his CD connection. Too much Shirlie Bassy... He then played a CD of women in porn making orgasm noises everywhere. Lovely ; ) We were all taken a bit by the radio controlled glider of one of the kids on the site. We desperately wanted one but didn’t have a chance to find anywhere that sold them. Adam made do by buying a ruberband powered glider which he then proceeded to put together all wrong and then sulk at when it wouldn’t fly without its wings falling off. Ben went off to buy a plane kite that flew about as well as that one. Nikki ran off and persuaded the small boys to let her play with the glider. Everyone drank a bit and I didn’t as I still felt shite. Managed to break Pete’s chair by sitting on it. So need to diet. Lenny turned up for the evening, but ended up drinking some and staying the night...was cool to see him as I’d not seen him in a year or so. He was on the site somewhere I think but I can’t remember what his old ID was so I’ll search the DB some time later and see if I can find his old one... Possibly need to change the code so you enter your email address to get the password mailed to you... It pissed it down at 7ish when we were barbecuing. We ran into tents, strapped everything down, shut everything up, then all huddled under the plastic thing Brian had erected between his car and a windbreak until it stopped a bit. The barbecue survived. Yay : ) Reentered the circle of fire. It was decided that the circle should have a single entrance/exit and a blessing should be uttered on arrival. Which we kept up until it wasn’t funny any more. Went to bed... Woke up far too early, but it was all misty and pretty and stuff so took a couple of piccies then went back to bed. Adam kept nicking the covers. Grr. We were sleeping on the sleeping bag I brought with me as we’d sniffed it and it was mank. We thought it was Sal’s one, but it wasn’t, it was apparently Lenny’s - he recognised it. Anyways, we looked at it and sniffed it and thought “er...no” and didn’t use it to sleep in...so we were using Adam’s as a sorta duvet, only he squirms far too much *giggle* He’d made this thing for beads in his hair...and tied it in there with laccy bands - apparently I tore i
