Well. As I have no proper server at the moment and the site is quiet as fuck, I thought I’d do a bit of development. I’ve just learned loads of SQL that I should really have bothered to find out about beforehand that would have been useful when coding blogs and stuff. Still, I know it now, so if I get desperate I’ll just recode it some time There’s now a cute ickle blog calendar thing - this will be reused to make the noticeboard - am happy with it being all transparent and groovy and happy with it working damn well too. Good day’s work. In other news, I can’t get hold of the bloke what runs the server as his email address keeps bouncing. So...I might either change the site to point here for a bit, or I might move it elsewhere. Not sure yet. Spent some time making the whole thing work in GMT as opposed to whatever timezone the thing was hosted on. This makes the site very portable - I can move it in about 10 minutes or so - but does mean I’ll have to think of some kind of BST aware code at some point to make it all work right...tho I can’t imagine that’d be too difficult. It does have the added advantage of meaning that I can put in time zones, so people can log in world wide and stuff Coo. I just got paid! A week early! Right. Think it’s time to go get pissed
